Stars of the Tribe™ is a media, lifestyle and apparel brand amplifying Jewish athletic achievement to bolster identity and pride in a time of growing antisemitism and violence. Our mission is to spark a cultural movement by celebrating current and classic Jewish champions that challenge stereotypes. 

This mission of igniting Jewish perseverance and extinguishing hatred is important now more than ever. The world stands appalled by the evil wrought by Hamas terrorists with their unprovoked and horrific attacks on civilians in Israel. Here in America, the ADL tabulated 3,697 antisemitic incidents during 2022. This is a 36% increase from the 2,717 incidents recorded in 2021 and the highest number on record since ADL began tracking antisemitic incidents in 1979. Meanwhile, the FBI report on US hate crimes shows that while Jews account for only 2.4% of the US population, we are the victims of 8.7% of all hate crimes and 55% of all religious hate crimes in the US. As it’s been said, “Never Again is Now!”

Stars of the Tribe™ was founded by Jordan “Bear Jew” Berman, a video producer and Jewish community leader in NJ, to help his teenage sons live their legacy as proud Jewish Americans through a shared passion of sports. Jordan’s vision was inspired by a chance meeting with Danny “Jewzilla” Schayes, 6’11” 18-year NBA player, when they met at the Philadelphia 76ers Legends Walk statue dedication for Danny’s dad, Dolph Schayes, a 12-time NBA All-Star, 1955 World Champion with the Syracuse Nationals, Naismith Hall of Famer, and NBA 75th Anniversary Team member.
